Tired?

Someone recently asked if I was tired, due to a lack of activity. The answer is a resounding Hell no. Just was out of town quite a bit the last month and also seems that some of my sources have dried upa bit.  Having said that i hear there have been letters flying back and forth from the computer of Toe bouncing Bob and some council members.  Judging from last nights events on channel 8, it does not appear that TB Bob made much head way on his arguments.  Having read his tripe before I am sure someone finally either wrote his crap for him or maybe the council.  I am also waiting to see who is going to be the new chief.  According to my first choice who I spoke to shortly after being denied the chance to move forward,  the blessed event is shortly upon us.  I am not sure my friend and I share the same name for the person we hope to see be the chief. Oh hell, we don’t who am I kidding we don’t.   I will say this though, did anyone really think Skip Kirkwood was really interested in the job? Come on, he had no more intent of taking that job than Obama does of dropping taxes! seriously,  he works in a system that is tax base funded, he actually manages a budget, not pretend to as in the DHPD.  Seriously, from what I hear, many of his ideas are the same ones heard around the division for the last few years…

On a different note can anyone PLEASE tell me why EMTAC stickers are now adorning the ambulances of Denver Health?  Come on,  list of dumb ideas, that would be first.

Since I am on a roll, I have something I need to get off my chest.  I was riding home from work the other night and listening to my Zune™ in the radio mode.  On Peter Boyles, who last time I listened to him he was some kind of left wing looney,  was talking about bike riders and peds and the negative interactions of same.  Could he have been anymore timely? Fuck I nearly crashed.  For the last year I have been riding, occasionally to work on a path that is largely  defined by a defined street level bike path.  Every morning there is some person, mostly women with their dogs on those friggin fishing lines, you know the retractable dog leash.  Anyhow they are walking in a lane that clearly has a bike etched into it twice in any block length.  Ten feet away there is a sideWALK.  I emphasize that since they are fucking WALKING.  It is illegal for me to ride my bike on a sideWALK in Denver, why do they get away with walking in my bike lane? Huh? Someone, anyone Bueller. FUCK it is a bike lane, You have a sidewalk-Fucking USE it!
