Think about it!

Recently I decided to sit outside the 858 HQ at the time of one of the Union meetings. Very interesting, indeed.  When all the members came filling out not a lot of smiling faces.  Quite the opposite actually.  When you consider the tax revenue shortage and Hick now asking for the 2010 pay raises there was bound to be.  The city is facing a projected 120 Million dollar shortage.  There have been rumblings of the last academy being told to pack up.  Talks of rolling shut down of anywhere from 3-5 companies a day, no backfilling sick calls.  Not pretty.  Now let’s imagine TB Bob and his minions had got their wish and the DHPD was part of the 858 and DFD.  Which group of people do you think would be sent packing first?  The bona fide FireFighters or the DHPD interlopers?  You all should be thankful TB bob and the rest of them did not get their way.  From what I hear the Division is expanding at this time and DFD is going to be lucky to keep manpower at the current level.  Think about it next time you vote for a Union President.
