How’d I miss this one?

Holy crap! How in the hell did I miss this nugget?  For those too lazy to click the link- M.A.S.T in Kansas City is getting folded into the Fire Department.  Not a real shocker, since this has been a topic before.  The shock came in the fact that the city council had, at one time said they were going to fold the ambulance into the city as a stand alone third service.  Seems that the local IAFF had some pull of some kind, in addition to having a council person being married to a IAFF local member I mean.  Oh well a sad day for EMS as another EMS entity gets sold down the river by a council intent on paying homage to the IAFF.
